Astronomers call a telescope's first observation first light. The instrument comes before the discoveries, and nobody mistakes an empty logbook for a broken telescope.
This site launches with three questions, two hypotheses, three claims — every one of them Narrated — one draft experiment, and zero observations. Those numbers are printed on the front page because the alternative is pretending, and this institution's operating rule is that nothing becomes true because it sounds convincing.
What exists today is the instrument: the object model, the evidence tiers, the provenance discipline, the machine renderings, and the rules that make every future claim inspectable by anyone — human or machine — without trusting us. What does not exist yet is data. The difference will be visible on this site as it changes, revision by revision, and that visible change is the point.
A note is Narrated by construction. This one is no exception.
